| Text | Bernice S. Burdolski, age 86, of Kansas City, Kan., peacefully entered eternal life June 7, 2009. Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 12, at Christ the King Church, 3027 N. 54th St., Kansas City, Kan., and the visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. prior to Mass. Interment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, Kan. Memorial contributions may be given to Villa St. Francis Nursing Home or Kansas City Hospice.
Bernice was born July 3, 1922, the daughter of Walter and Stefania (Slowinska) Serafin, in Poznan, Poland. She was the youngest of six children in her family. Bernice worked for American Bakeries until her retirement in 1982. She was a member of Cancer Action, Go-Getters, Sister Servants of Mary and Bakers and Confectionery Union. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Steve C. Burdolski; her son, Eugene Burdolski; four brothers and one sister. She is survived by her son Don Burdolski and wife Kathleen; two granddaughters, Amy Smither and husband Trevor, Lauren Taylor and husband AJ, and three great grandchildren, Emma, Cole and Hunter.
