| Text | Mat Bryant, 12-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Bryant, well known Star City merchants was killed almost instantly around six o'clock, Tuesday evening near their home. The accident happened when he climbed through a wire fence with the gun. The shot went through the large artery of the abdomen and he was dead when they reached the hospital here. He was a splendid young man. The untimely happening was a severe shock to the grief stricken parents who are among our county's best citizenship. Matt was a grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John England also well known Star City farmers. Funeral arrangement is incomplete awaiting arrival of relatives from the west coast. The Culver Funeral Service is in charge. |
