Text | Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel in the Valley for Mamie Pendergraft Bruce, 67, who passed away Monday noon at her home in Cassville. Rev. Clyde McCormick will officiate. Burial will be in the Antioch cemetery under direction of the Williamson Chapel in the Valley. A daughter of the late Ike and Hannah Scott, she was born February 24, 1895 in McDonald County. On August 4, 1912, she was united in marriage to Wesley P. Pendergraft of Jacket and to this union 11 children were born, namely: J. G. and Henry P. Pendergraft, Mrs. Cecil Bray, Mrs. Ernest Laughlin and Mrs. John Fleming all of Blackwell, Okla.; Mrs. Leo Arnold and Mrs. Ruby Cutberth, both of Garfield, Ark.; Mrs. C. L. Cockrell of Pea Ridge, Ark., and Mrs. Southard, Portland, Ore. Two daughters preceded her in death. Mr. Pendergraft passed away May 19, 1961. On April 12, 1962 she was united in marriage to Irwin Bruce of Cassville, who survives. She was a member of the Rock Springs Baptist church. Other survivors include four brothers, Marion Scott of Ashland, Ore.; Jack Scott and Dee Scott both of Neosho and Everett Scott of Wichita, Kan.; one sister, Mrs. Myrtle Crain, Bolivar; 7 step children, 43 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 15 step grandchildren.
