Funeral services for Mrs. Grace I. Brown, 93, who died at her home, 309 E. Cleveland in Monett, Wednesday evening, were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Merl’s Chapel with Rev. O. T. Allred officiating. Music was furnished by a quartet composed of Ed Jones, Lewis Greenway, Orlie Phillips and Dorothy Roller who sang “Rock of Ages.” “If We Never Meet Again”. and “How Beautiful Heaven Must Be.” Mrs. Burl Thomas, Jr., accompanied at the piano. Pallbearers were Estel Hall, John McClure, Andrew Wright, Lyle Roller, Rev. John Swaffer and Rev. Lloyd Jeffries. Burial was in the Purdy Cemetery under direction of the Mercer Funeral Home. Out of town friends and relatives attending the services included Mr. and Mrs. Carl Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Clint Williams and Mr. and Mrs. Max Williams of Iantha; Mrs. Margarite Wheeler of Joplin; Mr. and Mrs. Luther Skaer of Cherokee, Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Williams of Kansas City; and Miss Luella Topping and Miss Linnie Topping of Purdy. |
