| Headline | County’s Oldest Resident Passes Away This Morning |
| Text | Barry County’s oldest resident Mrs. Martha Brixey, 102, passed away this morning in the Sunset Nursing Home here, Mrs. Brixey was born October 10, 1863. Most of her life was lived near Seligman in the New Salem community. Her services will be conducted Saturday at the Seligman Baptist church. Burial will be in the New Salem cemetery under direction of Culvers. The services are scheduled at 1:30 p. m. Rev. Charles VanZandt of Cassville will conduct the funeral services. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Mrs. May Brixey of Neosho and a grandson, of Kansas City.
