Text | Wilbert D. "Whip" Bremer, 95, of Monett, Mo., passed away Friday, April
10, 2009, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Mt. Vernon.
While stationed in Germany he met Lena Lutz and they would later be married on August 14, 1949, in Freistatt, and she survives. Additional survivors include: one son, of East Longmeadow, Maine; one daughter, of Springfield, Mo.; and two grandsons of Springfield, Mo. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Edgar, Alvin, Alfred, Herbert, Victor, and Rueben Bremer; and one sister, Elsie Deschner. Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday, April 13, 2009, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freistatt with Pastor Ryan Buchmueller officiating. Interment was in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Freistatt. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 12, 2009, at Buchanan Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Trinity Radio Broadcast and the Missouri Veterans Home. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett. |
