Text | Clara Marie Bowman, 75, of Monett, died at 2 a.m. today, November 3, at her home following a long illness. Mrs. Bowman was born October 7, 1930, in Perryton, Texas, the daughter of A. B. and Clara (Reeser) Pease. She was retired from Jumping-Jacks Shoes in Monett and had also been employed at Kay's Floral and Wickman Gardens. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Monett and Women's Golf Association. She had been a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. She married Billy Bowman on April 19, 1947, in Columbus, Kansas, and he survives. Additional survivors include one daughter, one son, three sisters, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, November 5, at the First United Methodist Church in Monett with Rev. Clif Crockett officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery in Monett under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow, November 4, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice. Services for Clara Marie Bowman, 75, Monett, who died November 3, were at 10 a.m., November 5, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Clif Crockett officiating. Music included The Old Rugged Cross and Softly and Tenderly by Robin Braun, and Amazing Grace and Hymn of Praise sung by the congregation. Daniel Villalobos accompanied on piano. Casket bearers were Casey Lind, Steve Johnson, Jackie Gilmartin, Chad Lind, Mac Gilmartin and Ben Rosebrough. Honorary casket bearer was Johnnie Lind. Burial was in Oakdale Cemetery in Monett under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett. |
