| Text | Lottie Ann Bowman, 94, of Purdy, died at 2:55 a.m. yesterday, November 20, at Cox Monett Hospital following a long illness. Mrs. Bowman was born October 8, 1907, in Jenkins, the daughter of Issaic and Drewsilla (Henson) Myers. She was a homemaker and a member of the Arnhart Baptist Church near Purdy. She married Audry Smith in 1921, and he preceded her in death November 10, 1938. She married Oscar Bowman in July of 1939, and he preceded her in death September 17, 1947. Survivors include one son, one step-son, three step-daughters, 15 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 17 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Dennis Bowman on July 21, 1981, and Doyle Smith in 1929. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 24, at Bennett-Wormington Chapel in Monett with Rev. Bill Peters officiating. Burial will be in the Arnhart Cemetery near Purdy under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 23, at the funeral home. Buried under Smith with her first husband. |
