Text | Mrs. Lizzie Bowman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Catron, died at her home in Lawrence County, Thursday night, Feb 4, 1915, of complication of diseases. Her sickness covered a period of several weeks. Mrs. Bowman was 22 years, 8 months and 26 days old. Besides her father and mother she is survived by five sisters and three brothers, all living in Lawrence County, but Mrs. Stella Hemphill who resides near Cassville. The funeral services were in charge of Rev. H. E. Helm and were conducted at the Red Oak Church where the deceased was a devoted member. Burial was made at the cemetery nearby. Scarcely 22 years had past when the Father thought if best to take her life to His Heavenly home to lean on Jesus breast. For days and nights we watched with care for her we did our best, but now she is sleeping in her grave, her spirit is at rest. Her many friends were sorry that she died. But she is gone and we are left. And why we can not tell but from His Holy word we read God doeth all things well. Already the snow has fallen on her scared little mound, but will we know how beautiful she sleeps beneath the ground. Why should we shed a bitter tear and why our hears despair? The dear one has gone to that bright home and we can meet her there. The Golden Gates were opened wide. A gentle voice held come and Angels on the to other side welcomed her spirit home. Dear Lizzie is gone but not forgotten, never will her memory fade, sweetest thoughts will ever linger around the grave where she was laid. Those who loved her.
