Text | Helen Marie Bowman, age 67, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014, in her home.
She was born November 17, 1946, in Cassville, Missouri, the daughter of Orville and Thelma "Louise" (Saunders) Skelton. On September 10, 1965, she was united in marriage to Rodney "Dale" Bowman, who survives. Also surviving are two son, Kevin Bowman and Chuck Bowman both of Cassville, Missouri; one daughter, Angie Luney and her husband, Joe of Cassville, Missouri; one brother, Clay Skelton and his wife, Glenda of Cassville, Missouri; two sisters, Linda Corbin and her husband, Mike of Hammond, Louisiana and Jeannie Waltrip and her husband, Richard of Exeter, Missouri; five grandchildren, Michael Bohanan, Jeff Luney, Alyssa, Erwin, Alexander Erwin and Dylan Leach and one great grandchild, Isaac Luney. Preceding her in death were her parents. Helen grew up and received her education in Cassville, where she graduated from high school. She then received her cosmetology license from Springfield Beauty School. For forty-two years she was a self-employed hairdresser in Cassville. She was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church. Some of her favorite pastimes were crocheting, quilting, making pottery and gardening. She loved all animals, especially her dogs. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 26, 2014, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Pastor Milford Baker will conduct the services. Burial will be in Mineral Springs Cemetery, Cassville. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. |
