Text | EXETER, Mo. - Leslie James Bowling, 71, of Exeter died April 12, 2004, at St. John’s Regional Health Center in Springfield, Mo. He was born Nov. 13, 1932, Crane, Mo., to Walter and Sadie Belle Moore Bowling. He was a former employee of Vollenweider Orchard in Exeter and later worked for Jumping Jacks and Fasco in Cassville. He was a dispatcher for the Barry County Sheriff’s Department for a number of years. He was a computer enthusiast and an antique collector and owned a lawn mowing business. He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Bowling, on March 12, 1980. Survivors include his wife, one daughter, one brother, one sister; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Exeter under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home in Cassville. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. |
