| Text | Blaine Bounous, age 84, of Chico, California, formerly of Monett, died August 6 following a long illness.
Mr. Bounous was born December 15, 1920, in Monett, the son of Phil and Hope Bounous. He was a graduate of Monett High School, Southwest Missouri State College, and received his doctorate from the University of Missouri. He was a veteran of World War II and was a professor of education at California State University from 1954 until retiring in 1983. His wife, Moira McKeller Bounous, preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by one son, Bruce; and one brother, Lyle Bounous. He is survived by one daughter of Albany, California. |
