| Text | Clarabelle Bounous, age 81, of Monett, died today, June 12, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. Mrs. Bounous was born February 2, 1926, in Monett, the daughter of Harry and Mary Jane (Long) Etter. She was a retired farmer. She was a member of Waldensian Presbyterian Church south of Monett and Hobbs-Anderson Post 91 Monett American Legion Auxiliary. She married Elmer Bounous on October 8, 1944, in Mt. Vernon, and he preceded her in death March 19, 2007. Survivors include six sons, one daughter, 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Junior, George, and Oscar Etter, and two sisters, Hallie Hallaway and Maxine Etter. Memorial services will be held at a later date under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett. |
