Text | Uncle Pete Boswell died at his home in Rocky Comfort, Monday night about 7 o'clock. He had been in poor health for several months. Heart trouble was the cause of his death. Deceased was a member of the Chrisitan church, and was 79 years, 2 months and 4 days old. He leaves a wife, four daughters, one son and a brother to mourn his departure. Funeral services were held at the Christian church Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J.S. McQueen of Wheaton. Interment was made in the Rocky Comfort cemetery. Nellie was a daughter of Hiram W. & Dorathy E. "Sis" (Harrison) Metcalf. Nellie was first married to Pete's nephew, Andrew Brooks "Andy" Boswell (1895-1922) who is also buried in this cemetery. Andy was a son of Samuel Brooks & Martha A. (Shewmake) Boswell who are also buried in Rocky. |
