Obit For Mary Ann (Stephens) Boman
Headline SENECA WOMAN, 88, DIES; LEAVES 178 DESCENDANTS
Text Seneca, Mo., Sept. 13--One-hundred and seventy-eight immediate descendants survive Mrs. Mary Ann Boman, 88 years old, who died at 1:05 o'clock Sunday afternoon at her home here. She was born at Hermitage, Mo., and with her husband J. D. Boman, moved to Seneca five years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Boman celebrated their seventieth wedding anniversary April 4, 1948.

Surviving are two sons, J. W. Boman of Seneca and H. R. Boman, 1809 Indiana Ave., Joplin; four daughters, Mrs. Nancy Rose of Washburn, Mo., Mrs. Lula Swartz of Seneca, Mrs. R. E. Clontz of Ogden, Utah, and Mrs. C. G. Clontz of Wendover, Utah; 28 grandchildren; 100 great-grandchildren; and 44 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at the family residence at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning by the Rev. J. M. Campbell. Graveside rites will be conducted at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Roller cemetery on Sugar creek, near Washburn, Mo. The Biddlecome funeral home will be in charge.

Research Note: Mary Ann Stephens was a daughter of Green Berry Stephens and Nancy Laurany Cumpton. Born 25 Jan 1860, died 12 Sep 1948; Married Jeff Davis Boman 4 April 1878.
