Text | Died on March 13th 1891, at the home of her son, J. W. Boggess, at Viola, Missouri, Elizabeth Boggess, aged 68 years, 5 months, and 22 days, having been born, Oct 22, 1822, in Cape Girardeau Co., MO. She obeyed the gospel about age 37 years old and has ever since lived the life of a life of an upright and conscious Christian. She was conscious up to the hour of her death and gladly welcomed the home where she should depart this life, saying it would be the happiest exchange for life. Her last words were for all to be good, and at different things during her last sickness she told those around her not to weep for her but only be prepared to insure in that world where parting would be no more. She leaves two children and two grand-children to mourn her departure, who are comforted only with the thought that the final inheritance is prompted to them who hold out faithful, and the blessing to those who die in the Lord. |
