Obit For William Henry "Bunk" Blankenship
Headline BLANKENSHIP FUNERAL THURSDAY AFTERNOON
Text Funeral services for William Henry (Bunk) Blankenship, 65, who died January 15 in the Aurora hospital, will be conducted Thursday afternoon, 2:00 o'clock, in the Clio Community Building. Elder Oliver Coones and Elder Roy Williamson will officiate and burial will be in the Blankenship cemetery near Jenkins under direction of Williamson Chapel in the Valley of Cassville.

Mr. Blankenship was a son of the late Samuel and Permilian Blankenship and was born July 19, 1897, near Cassville. He spent his entire life in Barry County except for three years that he lived with his parents in Guymon Okla. On March 20, 1916, he was married to Miss Chloe Hudson of Jenkins and they spent their married life on the same farm near Jenkins. They were the parents of four children.

Besides farming and stock raising he taught singing schools over all Barry County and adjoining counties.

Surviving in addition to his wife and children are four sisters, Mrs. Annie Blankenship of Yale, Okla.; Mrs. Maggie Lee of Modesto, Calif.; Mrs. Phala Bell of Kernville, Calif.; and Mrs. Vada Phillips of Jenkins and 15 grandchildren.
