Text | Martin James Bingham, 83, of the Basham Hill Community, southwest of Exeter, died at 2:30 a.m. Monday (August 1) at Washington Hospital Center in Washington D.C., following an apparent heart attack. Mr. Bingham was born February 22, 1905, at Pueblo, Colorado. He married on December 5, 1955, in Georgetown, British Guiana, and she survives. He lived in California for over 25 years before moving to Texas, where he worked for the Universal Publishing Association as an assistant editor. He moved to the Basham Hill community in 1970 and became president of the Davidian Seventh-Day Adventist Association and the editor-in-chief of the Universal Publishing Association. Additional survivors include three sons, all of the Basham Hill community; one brother of La Mesa, California; and one grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow (August 5) at the Basham Hill Auditorium Chapel. Burial will be in the Basham Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Axley's Culver Chapel in Cassville. |
