Text | Gladys N. Biggs, 96, of Gladstone, formerly of Exeter, died October 16 at Pleasant Valley Manor Care Center. Mrs. Biggs was born February 27, 1909, in Thomas Hollow, the daughter of Fred and Lena Antle Cole. She was a member of the Thomas Hollow Extension Club. She was a farmer and was employed with Vollenwider Orchards part-time. She was a member of the Baptist Church in Ridgeley. She married Bill Biggs on September 17, 1930, in Greeley, Colorado, and he preceded her in death October 1, 1979. Survivors include three sons, one sister, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, October 22, at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home of Cassville. Visitation will be today, October 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at D. W. Newcomer's Sons White Chapel in Gladstone and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 21, at the funeral home in Cassville. Memorials may be made to the Exeter Fire Department of Pleasant Valley Manor Care defibrillator fund. |
