Text | Mrs. J. R. W. Bennington of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., who some days ago suffered a stroke of paralysis, died Thursday morning, April 16, 1914. Word announcing her death was received here Thursday. She lived only four days after receiving the first stroke. Until some years ago the deceased had lived most of her life in Cassville and was the daughter of the late Winfred G. Townsend. In 1871 she was married to J. B. W. Bennington and to this union were born six children. The deceased was a sister of Mrs. Emma Wynn of Texas, Mrs. Levina Smith of Neosho, and Mrs. Mary Burton of this city. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and lived a devoted Christian life. The body in company with her husband and two sons, Fred and Charley Bennington, is expected to arrive in Cassville for burial within a few days.
