Text | Pineville, Mo. - Floyd "Duke" Barnson, 46, of Pineville, Missouri, died Friday, October 24, at his home. He was born February 5, 1962, at Sante Fe, New Mexico, to John Paul Barnson and Shirley Sue Holleman Barnson. He moved to this area from Kansas 18 years ago to make his home. He was a Sergeant in the US Army serving in Germany. He did home construction, enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being with the Southern Brotherhood. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors are his wife, Pamela Barnson of the home; three sons, Christopher Barnson and wife Cathleen of Luther, Oklahoma, Johnny Barnson of Florence, Oregon, Gregory Ray Good of Bentonville; two daughters, Crystal Baker and husband Perry of Bentonville, Lola Hales of Sante Fe, New Mexico; one brother, Irvine Vess Barnson of Poteau, Oklahoma; one sister, Cheryelle Bratcher of Sante Fe, New Mexico; six grandchildren. Funeral is set for Wednesday, Oct. 29, 10:00 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Pea Ridge with burial at Dent Cemetery northeast of Pea Ridge. Visitation is set for Tuesday, Oct. 28, 5-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
