| Text | Death carried away a highly respected and old citizen in the person of Dennis Barnett, at his home, in Liberty township, June 12, age 87 years, a few months, and days. He was the father of 13 children, all living but two. He had been a member of the Baptist Church nearly all his life. His remains were laid to rest in Concord Cemetery. His aged wife survives him.
One day later his son, Bevy Barnett, aged about 50 years old died of typhoid fever, leaving a wife and five children to mourn his death. He was a member of the C. P. Church and a splendid citizen. His remains were interred in the Chitwood Cemetery there to await the resurrection summons. |
