| Text | Levi Allen Barnes, 64, of Cassville, died at 7:55 a.m. April 21 at his home. Mr. Barnes was born May 19, 1935, in Shattuck, Oklahoma, the son of Ralph Levi and Helen Catherine Jacoby Barnes. He retired in 1959 as a staff sergeant in the Air Force. He worked as a district manager and assistant manager for K-Mart for 23 years. He worked part-time for the True Value Hardware Store in Cassville for eight years as a sales clerk. He attended Emmanuel Baptist Church and Faith Community Church. He married Freda L. Ellis on March 8, 1973. Survivors include two sons, two daughters, one brother, Russell Barnes of Gage, Oklahoma; four sisters, Lou Stutzman, Rosie Loomis, and Joy Price, all of Woodward, Oklahoma, and Helen Larkin of Commerce, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Services were 1 p.m. today, April 24, at Fohn Chapel in Cassville with Doyle Russell, pastor, and Chad Coleman officiating. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home of Cassville. |
