| Text | Jay W. Banks, 50, Pineville died at 10:25 p.m. Saturday in Cardwell Memorial Hospital Stella. Mr. Banks was born Nov. 17, 1917, in McDonald County and was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a retired farmer. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Threva McCool, Pineville; two sons, Gary, Pineville, and Barney, Pea Ridge; his father, Lot Banks, Washburn; five brothers, Denver, Brice, Vernon, Norman and Ed, all of Washburn; six sisters, Mrs. Hazel Schrader and Mrs. Edith Wade, both of Washburn, Mrs. Maggie Woodward, Pineville, Mrs. Oleta Woodward, Jane, and Mrs. Mae Laughlin, Pea Ridge, and Mrs. Geneva Ample (Antle), Exeter; and two grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Dent Cemetery, west of Washburn. The Rev. Charles Vanzandt will officiate. |
