Text - Outline | WASHBURN, Mo. --- Armon Banks, 73, of Washburn died Dec. 19, 1999, at Monett (Mo.) Health Care Center.
He was born Sept. 26, 1926, in Washburn to Lott Gilbert and Rilda Caroline Mahurin Banks. He was an Army veteran of World War II, during which time he received a Bronze Battle Star, the Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Army of Occupation Medal, Japan. He was a longtime resident of the area, a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of the home; one son; three daughters; three brothers; two sisters; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of Christ in Pea Ridge. Burial will be in Buttram Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Buttram Chapel Cemetery, 650 Greer St., Pea Ridge, 72751. |
