Mrs. Ball was born Aug 13, 1927 in Barry County, the daughter of Newell and Nettie Prier Jackson. On June 12, 1942 she was united in marriage to Buford Ball. Marzelle spent most of her life in Barry County, except a few years which she spent in Calif. She was a homemaker and a member of Roaring River Baptist Church.
