| Text | Clarice Ball, 82, of Monett, died at 10:10 a.m. yesterday, November 16, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield following a brief illness. Mrs. Ball was born February 16, 1922, in Cato, the daughter of Clarence and Neta Tash Horton. She was a homemaker and a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Monett. She married Hallie Herschel Ball on December 16, 1939, in Washburn, and he preceded her in death October 25, 1975. She was preceded in death by one brother, Elmer Horton, on April 22, 1996; and one sister, Clara Carlisle on April 14, 2003. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, November 19, at Bennett-Wormington Chapel in Monett with Rev. Fred Harris officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery near Monett under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tomorrow, November 18, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice of Shawnee, Oklahoma. |
