| Text | Vesta Ann Baker was born Sept. 3, 1849, in Barry County. Died April 22, 1916. Age 56 years, 7 months and 9 days. She was converted with the Cassville Baptist Church. She was married to J. C. Baker, July 21, 1880. To this marriage six children were born, five living, 1 died in infancy. She was a faithful wife and mother and lived a consistent Christian life till death. She leaves a husband, five children, one sister, two brothers, eight grandchildren, and a host of friends and relatives to mourn her death. A week before death she called her friends and relatives and told them she was going to die. She was reconciled and anxious to go and sang and played which gave consolation to her loved ones. She died with the Christian hope and faith in her savior. |
