Text | Charles Bryan Baker died at the home of his parents, 3? miles east of town, Monday evening, Aug 24, 1903 of congestion of the brain. On Aug 29 he got his right leg broken in a hay baler and it is thought a that brought on the brain trouble.
He was born Mar. 8, 1880, just southeast of town and has always lived in this vicinity. He was an excellent young man, loved by all of his acquaintance, and a leader of the young people in his neighborhood. He was very energetic and a good worker. The remains were laid to rest Tuesday evening in the Horner Cemetery, attended by a large number of sorrowing relatives and friends. Rev. J. T. Brattin conducted very impressive funeral service at the church. The funeral was under the auspices of the Modern Woodmen of America, the Cassville Camp conducting the service at the grave. Charlie was devoted to his parents that makes it the harder to see him go. Sweet peace to your memory, Charlie. |
