Text | Thelma B. Bacon, 91, of Cassville, died December 10 at Springfield Rehabilitation Healthcare Center. Mrs. Bacon was born August 19, 1912, in Rogers, Arkansas, the daughter of Billie and Dency Odessa McGeath Taylor. She had lived in Washburn and near Seligman. She had farmed and also worked as a sales clerk and department store manager in Moses Lake, Washington. She moved to Cassville in 1987. She was a member of the First Assembly of God in Cassville and had lived the past three years at Peachwood Manor in Cassville. She married Charles Bacon on September 4, 1932, in Seligman, and he preceded her in death July 3, 1990. Survivors include three nephews and two nieces. She was preceded in death by one brother, Glenn Taylor, and one sister, Lois Brannan. Services were 11 a.m. today, December 15, at Williamson Chapel in Cassville with Rev. Robert Day and Rev. Paul Brannan officiating. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home of Cassville. Memorials may be made to World Missions of the Assemblies of God in Springfield. |
