Obit For Lugene Isla (Lassiter) Atwell

Text Lugene Isla Atwell, 86, lifelong resident of Monett, died at 12:50 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at Lawrence County Manor in Mt. Vernon. She was born Dec. 19, 1922 in Monett, daughter of William Aubra and Pearl (Walton) Lassiter. She was a homemaker and was named Miss Ozark Smile Girl of 1939. She married C.E. Atwell and he preceded her in death September 18, 2008. Survivors include: one daughter, and one son, all of Monett. She is also survived by four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, RosaLee Stormzand, and one brother, Arthur Lassiter. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 13 at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, and burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Monett.
