Text | Silvan Atkisson died Friday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock at the Burge Deaconess hospital in Springfield following an operation for appendicitis. He lived only a short time after the operation was performed.
His body was brought to Monett, Saturday, and buried at the Clay Hill Cemetery near Madry, Sunday afternoon in the presences of a large number of friends and relatives. Silvan was the son of Mrs. W. H. Suttles of Monett and was born on a farm near Madry about 23 years ago. He had spent most of his life in Cassville where he was held in high esteem. He was a young man of industry and of a generous impulse. His many friends here were grieved to learn of his death. He leaves a mother, two brothers, two sisters and a number of relatives and friends to mourn his loss. |
