Text | Oliver Richard Ash, 76, of Purdy, died March 28 at his home.
Mr. Ash was born October 23, 1925, in Cassville, the son of Marion D. and Monie Hollaway Ash. He was a dairy farmer and an Army veteran of World War II. He was employed for 25 years with Jumping-Jacks Shoes in Monett, retiring in 1990. He was a member of Log Church of Gold Holiness. He married Doris Moudy on December 17, 1947, in Cassville. Survivors include two sons, three daughters, two brothers, two sisters, 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and several step-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Virgil Ash, Loren Ash, George Ash, and Hershall Ash; and five sisters, Willa Dean Ash, Marie Ash, Mary Bennett, Edna Hall, and Velma Kindrex. Services were 2 p.m. today, April 1, at Fohn Chapel in Cassville with Brothers Darrell Swearingen and Ervin Stanley officiating. Burial was in Log Church Memorial Gardens near Purdy under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home of Cassville. |
