| Text | Funeral service for Mrs. Blanche Armstrong, 79, Washburn were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Washburn Methodist Church with Rev. Frank Hall and the Rev. Walter Smart officiating. Burial was in the Washburn Prairie cemetery under the direction of Williamson of Cassville.
Mrs. Armstrong died at 3:20 p.m. last Thursday in the Cox Medical Center, Springfield, following a short illness. She was a retired school teacher and a member of Washburn Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Frank of Washburn, three daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Swindle, Mrs. Pauline Stone and Mrs. Christine Shell, all of Washburn, two brothers, Emmit Watson of Louisville, Ky., and Warden Watson of St. Louis: 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
