Text | Mary Ann Wright was born July 4, 1841, in Kentucky. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Will Dodge, in Cassville, on Sept. 15, at the ripe old age of 92 yrs, 2 mo, and 11 days.
When only a small child, she came to Cooper Co., Mo., with her parents, where she grew to womanhood. On Nov. 9, 1866, she was united in marriage to J. W. Allison. To this union five children were born. One died in infancy, and a few years ago a daughter Mrs. Marion Hassee pasted away. After the death of her husband, Mr. Allison, she was married to Walt Anderson, who lived only a short time. She professed faith in Christ in early life and united with the Baptist Church and remained in this faith until death. She is survived by two sons, Bud Allison of Cassville, and Ed Allison of CO. and a daughter Mrs. Mattie Dodge of Cassville, fourteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many friends. Funeral services were held at the home in Cassville, on Sat. afternoon, Sept 16, 1933, by Chas. Vanzandt. Burial was in the Pilant Cemetery, north of Cassville, under the direction of the Koon Undertaking Co. A quartette composed of Clinton Blythe, Chas Willis, Mrs. Glen Pear and Mrs. John Ray, furnished music. |
