| Text | Howard Anderson, 85, of Monett, died June 15, 2007, at his home.
Mr. Anderson was born August 7, 1921, in Monett, MO, the son of Oliver and Orba Howard Anderson. He married Dorothy Mae Medlin on August 24, 1940, in Cassville, MO, and she preceded him in death. Survivors include one son, of Monett, MO; two granddaughters, of Springfield, MO, and of Monett, MO; one step-granddaughter, of Monett, MO; one brother-in-law, and two sisters-in-law. A lifelong resident of Monett, he loved spending time with his family and liked to farm and garden. He enjoyed eating a good meal while he was talking to people. He was a proud member of the Missouri Democrat Party. He was employed with V. B. Hall and Associates for 40 years upon his retirement in 1985. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at Buchanan Funeral Chapel with Rev. Cliff Crockett and Rev. Robert Whittemire officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Buchanan Funeral home. Interment will be in Monett IOOF Cemetery in Monett, MO. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church building fund or Loaves and Fishes. |
