Text | Charles Floyd Akins, 61, of Washburn, died at 2:38 p.m. November 4 at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Arkansas, following a long illness.
Mr. Akins was born October 9, 1945, in Washburn. He attended Southwest High School in Washburn, was a self-employed truck driver, and attended the First Baptist Church of Washburn. He married Janette Hilery. Additional survivors include one son, one daughter, his mother, and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Akins; and one brother, Billy Akins. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. tomorrow, November 8, at Hickman Cemetery in Washburn with Rev. Glenn Erwin officiating under the direction of White Funeral Home of Cassville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, November 7, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the church. |
