Text | Donald D. Adamson Sr., 72, of Monett, died at 12:25 a.m. Friday, April 30, at his home. Mr. Adamson was born July 30, 1931, in Orvina, Neb., the son of Earnest R. and Ruby Hulme Adamson.
He was a retired police officer for the Springfield Police Department. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and a former employee at Wal-Mart in Monett. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Monett. He is survived by his wife; two sons; three daughters; one brother; 10 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 4, at Buchanan Chapel in Monett with Dr. Bill Cox and Rev. Aaron Weibel officiating. Burial will be in Pierce City Cemetery under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home of Monett. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, May 3, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Monett Senior Citizens Center or Community Hospice. Memorial contributions can be made to Monett Senior Center or to First Christian Church. |
