Text | Francis Marion Abolt was born Jan. 15, 1847 at West Lebanon, Ind. and passed away from this life at his home in Cassville, Mo., Aug. 14, 1929 at the age of 82 years, 6 months and 20 days. He was united in marriage with Mary H. Clem of Sheldon, Ill., Jan. 19, 1875. To this union were born three sons. N.S. of Shelby, Neb., Earl, deceased in early childhood, Dr. R.L. of Cassville, Mo. and one daughter Verna Ablot Schroeder of St. Louis, Mo., He also leaves two granddaughters and two grandsons, all of St. Louis. He is survived by his beloved wife, two sons and one daughter, named above. At the age of 75 he was converted and united the United Brethren church of Iola, Kansas. Although his hearing was poor and he was feeble he always enjoyed going to church. He was the youngest of four children and was the last of his family. He was a loving father and husband, kind friend, good neighbor and appreciated by all who knew him. Funeral services were held at the home and conducted by Rev. Green, Wednesday, August 15th at 3 p.m. Interment in Oak Hill |
