Text | James H. Able, 61, of Monett, died at 1:30 a.m. yesterday, June 10, at his home following a long illness.
Mr. Able was born September 25, 1939, in Monett. He was a lifetime Monett resident. He was an employed at the Monett Police Department as animal control officer. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam conflict. He was a member of Faith Worship Church in Aurora and Tom Wolfe Memorial Post 4207 Monett Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was preceded in death by his father, Jake Able; five brothers, Jay, Lewis, Ronnie, Bob, and Rolla Able; and one sister, Louise Able. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, at Bennett-Wormington Chapel in Monett with Rev. Arnold Ray Evans officiating. Burial will be in Monett IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett. |
