Eli Hendrix
Eli remains a mystery. The family says, at one time, there was a stone here for him but not found when photos were taken. Why would the family or whoever, place a tombstone for him unless it was a memorial type thing? According to the descendants of Eli, he left home and was never heard from again. The family thinks he may have died in an Old Soldiers Home in Illinois. See the 1900 census below.
