Obit - Richard Zebert
Richard Francis "Zeke" Zebert, 77, of Wentworth, died at 9:20 a.m. yesterday, October 30, at his home following a long illness.
Mr. Zebert was born May 19, 1923, in Pulaskifield, the son of Frank and Rose Zebert. He retired in 1985 from the Missouri State Highway Department, was an Army veteran of World War II, and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pierce City.
He married Jean Landoll on July 17, 1948, and she survives.
Additional survivors include four daughters, Linda Steele of Wentworth, Janice Wade of Pineville, Rosie Bertschy of Bentonville, Arkansas, and Lesa Clark of Bellingham, Washington; two sons, Michael Zebert of Pierce City and Larry Zebert of Wentworth; 16 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one niece.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Angie Zebert and Mary Cameron; one grandson and one great grandson.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, November 2, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pierce City. Burial will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Pulaskifield under the direction of Wessell's Funeral Home of Pierce City.
A scripture service will be held at 8 p.m. tomorrow, November 1, at the funeral home.
