He was a son of the late Mike and Sophie Rosewicz. He was retired from the Kansas City Southern Railroad after 26 years of service and was a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by one brother, David Rosewicz. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 20, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Pulaskifield with Father Daniel Robles officiating. He was a son of Michael Stanley Rosewicz and Sophia T. Stipp. His wife was Stella. Obit: George Eugene Rosewicz, 61, of Caney, Kansas, formerly of Purdy, died April 16. Mr. Rosewicz was the son of the late Mike and Sophie (Stipp) Rosewicz. He was retired from the Kansas City Southern Railroad after 26 years of service and was a member of the American Legion. His wife, Stella Rosewicz, survives. Additional survivors include five children, Kelly Rosewicz, Dianna Rosewicz, and Lee Rosewicz, all of Purdy, Cheryl Mason of Rocky Comfort, and Justin Rosewicz of Joplin; two step-children, Mike Marshall and Starla Martin, both of Caney, Kansas; two brothers, Emil Rosewicz of Monett and Julius Rosewicz of Joplin; three sisters, Delores Rosewicz of Monett, Joanne Sperandio of Verona, and Wilma Seufert of Pierce City; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, David Rosewicz. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 20, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Pulaskifield with Father Daniel Robles officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Wessell Funeral Home of Pierce City. Visitation will be 6 p.m. tomorrow, April 19, at the funeral home with rosary to follow at 7 p.m. |
