Notes by Ron Lehr:
Rosa was a daughter of John Eiskina Jr. and Pauline (Drzymala) (Eiskina) Filarski. She married Edward Lehr on Dec. 3, 1921. On May 10, 1925, Rosa gave birth to Clarence Edward Lehr. Rosa died in 1931, a few hours after giving birth to her new baby girl (Katherine). As per "Rosie Lehr" listed in the St. Peter/Paul (Bricefield) cemetery information: Rosa was a daughter of Pauline (Eiskina) Filarski. Apparently Pauline Eiskina came from Texas some time in the early 1900's and had five children with her ... Rosa, Victoria, Alex, Albina, and John. Rosa and Victoria are listed in the 1910 census as "born in Texas". She married John Filarski on January 12, 1910 (Pauline was 26 years old at that time). She and John apparently went on to have three more children ... Clara, Helen and Raymond. Rosa married Edward (Eddie) Lehr (my grandfather) on December 3, 1921. On May 10, 1925, Rosa gave birth to my father, Clarence Edward Lehr. Rosa died in 1931, a few hours after giving birth to her new baby girl (Katherine). Eddie and his second wife, Flora Hays Lehr, are buried in the Dice Cemetery west of Fairview. Flora lived in Wheaton for many years after she and Eddie sold their farm. She wrote a news column for the Wheaton Journal.
