From Phyllis Long's notes: Joseph Bobski's death certificate reads that he was born Jan. 17, 1861 Germany (different birth date) and died Dec. 15, 1933 Monett, Barry Co., MO. He was a merchant and his wife’s name was Mary. He was a son of John Bobski, born Germany. His mother was not named - but born Germany. Mrs. Joe Bobski of Monett, MO was the informant. The cause of death was bleeding ulcers. Callaway was the funeral home. In 1900 census, his wife’s name was Josephine (Ruskoski) who was his first wife. A large number of witnesses were in attendance on both sides. The testimony was taken Saturday. The case was argued and turned to the jury Monday morning. The jury's verdict gave the plaintiff $1.
