James Marlowe Beagle, 75, of Exeter, died September 25 at his home.

Mr. Beagle was born April 28, 1933, in Kansas City, the son of Joseph R. and Ethel Sawyer Beagle. He was a graduate of Sarcoxie High School. He was an Army veteran. He was a carpet layer in Kansas City and retired from Schreiber Foods in Monett in 1995. He was a member of the American Legion and the Cassville Golf Club. He was a Catholic.
v He married Imogene Jaster and she preceded him in death March 7, 1989. He married Sue Smith on April 28, 1992, and she survives.

Additional survivors include six sons, James Beagle Jr. of Kansas City, John Beagle of Fort Smith, Arkansas, David Beagle of Washburn, Dan Beagle of Cassville, Mickey Beagle of Rogers, Arkansas, and Rusty Cornelius of Exeter; two daughters, Melinda Hall of Purdy and Santana Oberbeck of Cassville; one brother, Chuck Beagle of Fort Scott, Kansas; one sister, Patricia Peterson of Carthage; 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Services were 2 p.m. today, September 29, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Pulaskifield with Father David Miller officiating. Burial with military rites were at the church cemetery under the direction of Fohn Funeral Home of Cassville.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
