Text Mrs. Lou Griffith, a resident of Cassville for many years, and a native of Barry County, passed away at her home in Cassville about 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon, August 17, 1941.

Mrs. Griffith was 73 years old. She had been seriously ill for some time and critically ill for several days.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 19th at the Koon Funeral Home in Cassville. The services were conducted by Rev. Verdayne Dodson.

Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, at Cassville, with the W. D. Koon undertaker in charge.

She is survived by one son, Ethel Griffith, of Exeter; six grand-children; three brothers, Frank Jackson of Fairview, and Ed and John Jackson of McDowell; one sister, Mrs. Mollie Henley of Newton, Kansas; and three half-brothers and one half sister.

Louisa J. Griffith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Jackson, was born November 2, 1868, at McDowell, MO.

She died peacefully, after a lingering illness at her home in Cassville where she resided for the past 40 years.

At the age of 22 years she professed faith in Christ and joined the Church of God at McDowell, where her membership still stands.

At the age of 18, she was united in marriage to W.D. Griffith who preceded her in death.

To this union were born three children, two sons and one daughter, two having preceded her in death.
