Text | Mrs. Caroline Rausch was born in Darmstradt, Germany, April 28, 1840, and died at her home in Pierce City, Oct 12, 1915, at 7:30 in the morning, after a long illness of several weeks. Her husband, Conrad Rausch, having died November 8, 1881. To this union were born nine children.
Deceased and her husband came here many hears ago when this county was practically a wilderness and settled on an arm near Pierce City. Deceased was a splendid Christian woman, and humored and respected by all who had the pleasure of her acquaintance and her passing away will be a loss to everyone. The relatives who attend the last funeral rites were Fred Rauch and wife of Cassville, John Rausch, Greenwood, Ark., Henry Rausch and wife Pierce City, Robert Binner and wife, Pierce City, Mrs. Carrie Gerling, Kansas City, Arthur Rausch, Kansas City, Mrs. G. L. Cannifax, Hunter, Okla., Mrs. Chas. Robinson, Pierce City, Adolph Binner, Kansas City, Emma Gohl of Kansas City. The funeral services sere held at the house Tuesday afternoon and interment was made in the city cemetery, Pierce City Leader. |
