Research Note: There was no photo with the first transcription. He was a son of Luke and Dovie A. Ash. - Rogers Democrat, Apr. 19, 1928 - Jasper L. Ash, age 21 years, son of Mr. and Mrs. Luke Ash, living two miles south of Seligman, died at the family home April 4 following an attack of the flu which later developed into pneumonia. Funeral services were held at the home April 6 with the Rev. J. H. Martin of Rogers and pastor of the Christian church in Garfield officiating. The funeral was attended by many of his schoolmates from the Seligman high school who remembered him with many beautiful flowers during his illness. Burial was made in the Roller's Ridge cemetery. Jasper Leo Ash was born near Seligman November 25, 1907 where his life was spent on his father's farm. He was much interested in obtaining a high school education and attended the Seligman high school. During his vacations he assisted his father in taking care of the farm. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, William, Clyde, Sylvester, and Vernon, and one sister Sylvia Camp. Survivors are two sons, George Burton and Bonnie of Gravette, AB Burton and Thelma of Rogers;a daughter, Jeanne Ingram of Pea Ridge;six grandchildren and one step-grandchild; twenty great-grandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren. Funeral services are set for Monday, November 14, 2:00, at Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. Burial will be at Roller Ridge Cemetery in Gateway.
