Upon taking them back into the jail he locked them into the room in which the street cage is located and went to the house to get the supper for the prisoners. While he was away they knocked a hole in the brick wall and escaped. The walls of this room should be reinforced concrete. As it is a man confined in the jail for a mere misdemeanor charge must be placed in a cell in the steal cage or leave him with the standing temptation to escape. The brick wall can be gone through at any time. Harbin had about 30 days to serve and Crow about 3 months. - March 9, 1916, Cassville Republican - Wm.
